Day 4 – Colly Birds

Day 4 Calling Bird

Colly Birds…

What the heck are colly birds? I have been singing that song for at least 100 years and I always thought they were saying calling birds which makes more sense because anyone who has ever owned a bird knows the nasty things are noisy!

Apparently colly birds are some kind of black bird. I Googled it. Do we put those in a pie? I can’t imagine putting black birds in a pie. Sounds like we would get feathers stuck between our teeth.

So today’s activity has absolutely nothing to do with birds. Aren’t you relieved? I know I am. I did not want to clean that cage anyway…

Let’s do some giftwrapping instead. That tree is still looking bare underneath it. I have been buying some things already and it is time to make them look nice. So wrapping paper and bows and name tags can now come out or we could do something a little more unique for a few special ones. We have tried some real cool ideas over the years but we are now in the age of the internet so why not just give you the link to Martha Stewart’s homemade wrapping.  These are very neat!

After decorating I feel like a snack. How about you?

Devilled Eggs Anyone?

These have got to be the best party food ever!

If you want to enjoy a noisy bird Foghorn Leghorn is the best of all time…
