Month in review – December

December was quite the month!

In case you missed any of our posts from this last month – here we go!

Attractions for kids

We headed with a mom and family to Heritage Park’s Once Upon a Christmas.  We headed out to Spruce Meadows to see the lights and tobogganing on our favorite hills.  We shared musts for your holiday to-do list.  We attended a play for youngsters at a great theatre company.

We visited all the Santa locations around the city and we shared a personal experience with a favorite place to catch him.

Out of town

We headed out to the mountains to cut down a fresh tree.

Books

We shared fun books for Christmas traditions and for under the tree.

Crafts & Fun

We learned how to make simple tablecloths.  How to entertain the kids when it’s brutally cold outside and ornaments to make with the kids (here and here).  We shared some great apple apps to keep the kids busy.  We shared a great template for easy thank you cards.

Parenting Tips

One of our contributors shared her thoughts on birth order and another shared her hope to teach her kids to pay it forward.  We shared what the City of Calgary swim lessons are like for toddlers.

Guest posts

Calgary’s Child shared with us some great things to do over the holidays and we posted the Calgary’s Police’s twitter feed of holiday safety tips.

Gifts and parties

We shared ideas for teacher gifts (here and here), some quick gifts in a jar and gift tags.

We shared ideas for holding a gingerbread party and a toddler art party.

We hope you enjoyed the month as much as we did!  We wish you all the best for 2011 and hope you’ll join us for more great posts!
